Fairtree is thrilled to announce that Parade Park Hotel, a Grade I Listed property, has successfully obtained the necessary permits from Bath & North East Somerset Council (B&NES) and Listed Building Consent for its highly anticipated redevelopment. This significant milestone marks the beginning of an exciting transformation aimed at establishing a new landmark in the heart of Bath.
Fairtree is excited to announce that the Parade Park Hotel, a Grade I Listed property located in the heart of Bath, will undergo a full refurbishment and rebrand, transforming it into a new luxury establishment symbolising Bath’s rich heritage and dynamic future. The hotel is expected to reopen in summer 2025. The comprehensive makeover will include updated interiors, enhanced facilities, and the introduction of state-of-the-art amenities to offer guests an exceptional experience.
The Parade Park Hotel, a historic gem, has long been cherished for its rich history and prime location. The hotel, constructed around 1740 by John Wood, the Elder, originally spanned three houses and connected under the road to Parade Gardens. The buildings served as lodging houses from the 1750s for 170 years, before being converted into a single large hotel in 1997.
Joe Bester from Fairtree stated, “As we embark on this ambitious redevelopment project, we are committed to preserving its historical significance while introducing modern amenities and design elements. Our goal is to create a unique and luxurious experience for guests, blending contemporary luxury with historical charm.”
CC Nel, overseeing the project for Fairtree, added, “With the necessary approvals in place, we are now poised to move forward with the next phase of the project. We will be obtaining tenders to commence the transformation of Parade Park Hotel into a distinguished and iconic destination in Bath. This redevelopment will enhance the city’s hospitality offerings and contribute to Bath’s cultural and architectural heritage.”
“We are excited about the future and look forward to sharing more updates as the project progresses. Thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey to date. We look forward to welcoming you to the newly transformed Parade Park Hotel, a symbol of Bath’s enduring legacy and vibrant future,” concluded Bester.
The redevelopment project is a collaborative effort, and Fairtree extends deep gratitude to the dedicated team of advisors and consultants who have played a crucial role in reaching this stage:
